TC Electronic "Hall of Fame" Reverb - opinions? (now: NPD)

I'm not very clued-up about pedals, as you know, but I remember a couple of months ago Juansolo was selling a Neunaber Technology "Wet" Reverb pedal.

I actually listened to some clips (again, unusual for me!) and thought it sounded amazing.  Plus it has really simple controls, which can only be a good thing.

No idea how it would compare with the Hall of Fame, though.

HOF is definitely a nice sounding verb, i prefer it to the latest malekko offering.  If my head didn't have verb built-in it would be between the HOF and the holy grail for me

Indeed and now I have the Stereo version and it's equally brilliant. The ability to re-flash it as a chorus or delay is quite funky also (can only do this with the stereo ones).

Want a Hall of Fame myself, Fantastic sounding and loop friendly. I reckon best pedal verb for the money.

I got a HOF and I'm pretty satisfied with it. It's super hard to beat when it comes to price and it offers a lot of varaity. It has the Toneprint option and with the new Toneprint editor there's limitles possibillities. I must admit that I only use a few of the reverb types (spring, plate, church and toneprint). I don't have much experience with reverbs and reverb pedals, but I think there's better sounding pedals than the HOF, but they're also a lot more expensive and less versatile. As an example I think that Strymon's spring reverb sounds better than the HOF's.

If you're not totally picky about reverbs and want a good sounding, versatile, relatively cheap and reliable pedal look no further than the HOF.

I'd choose the Digitech Hardwire Reverb over it, but it is probably a nice pedal.

Gary Moore used the Hardwire Reverb.

I was looking at the Hall of Fame, and the Digitech Hardwire indeed.

I like the HoF is dry pass through (low latency), and you can use a software editor to edit the "toneprint", its also nice and small.

A few people have recommended me the Hardwire in the past.. I guess it sounds great, with its Lexicon algorithms.

I hadn't considered the Neunaber/Juansolo pedal, I will try to search some more info on it.

To be honest the Digitech and the HoF both sound good on youtube clips. I will need to find a higher quality source to be sure. What really matters though, is how it sounds in a band mix.

I have a HoF and a Neunaber Wet mono version. The HoF is a great pedal at a great price and extremely versatile, the Wet is more natural sounding.... more like a tube verb built into an amp. There are some cool YT vids of th Wet.

I did a bit of comparing of reverb pedals recently and opted for the Digitech RV7........................another option for you.  I'm really pleased with it,  Battery is easy to load which as I'm on my second this week is handy.  Dunno why it seem to be going through so many batteries.   I generally play with minimal reverb on all the time to fill out the sound a bit.  I am kinda new to all this.  I especially like the way the spring reverb makes hammer on/off's stand out.

Just another option for you.  Cant remember why I dismissed the HOF in the end.

Most digital effects eat batteries and the Hardwire series is especially "bad" at that; they do something that they describe as "high voltage" (lol!) operation, which probably eats more juice, but also increase headroom.
