Good to hear that you got off to a rather good start on them. Now is the time for tweaking! That means both your amp and the PUs height. The later is very important with BKP especially. Push them around a bit and you will notice quite the change.
With the Crawler especially this is important. Now I donīt know how you would like it to sound, but personally I backed mine up and raised the pole pieces to about 1mm from pickup to the line where the dome of the pole piece starts.
The backing up gave me less output, a more open sound, more treble and definition and more woodyness, while the pole pice raising again added more treble (which I really like on the crawler as it has the low end to keep it balanced) and gave the strings more focus and definition.

If you are someone who feels the Crawler is very saturated and rich, maybe too much so do what I did. Keep all the good stuff and let is breath more.
BKPs in use: 10th set / RY set / Holy Diver b, Emerald n / Crawler bridge, Slowhand mid MQ neck/ Manhattan n
On the sidelines: Stockholm b / Suppermassive n, Mule n, AM set, IT mid

Right, guess I need to get tweaking then! Thanks for the heads up. Lowering the output a little would balance up the IT's a bit nicer too.

Part of my problem is I don't really know how I want it to sound myself, I kinda took a leap of faith...

I support Kiichi's advice. I had to do a bit of tweaking to get my Crawler right and to dial in my amps.
Btw, that goodlooking strat has the Scot Henderson-colours.

That is quite fine, I find the Crawler to be pretty versatile with low and midgain stuff (with correct tweaking high gain also), especially if you got it wired for coil split...if you do not I can stronly recommend it. Generally they can do more than they are often given credit for I believe, it just a matter of correct tweaking them. Plus they shine in bright guitars like strats.
One thing the Crawler retains no matter how you set it is a great richness in sound. There is just so much there.
For a greater balance with the ITs deffo lower them and raise the pole pieces.

Basecally just toy around with them, you will know when you found what you like and if you like the IT it is there somewhere.

I turned the bass on the amp a few steps down when using the Crawler. The mids I used to push, but with the Crawler they're at noon now. You have to experiment a bit. Depends also on the cab.

Thanks again guys.

Is there a PU set up thread anywhere (or vid/pictures) you could point me to assist me on my way?

Here is wrote up a methodical guide to finding the perfect height. This is tedious as it takes work and time, but you can always vary the degrees of the steps to speed things up.
Certainly work I feel.
