I've never tried any actual FGN branded guitars, but Fujigen guitars are excellent, really well made.  I see it has the "CFS" system, didn't know they were still using it.

I'm not sure it's that much of a bargain, though, unless it's a particularly high spec model.  Add import charges and shipping costs onto that and you're probably getting close to £1,250 (I don't know what import costs are like in Brazil, I believe they're pretty high?)
BKPs I've Got:  RR, BKP-91, ITs, VHII, CS set, Emeralds
BKPs I Had:  RY+Abraxas, Crawlers, BD+SM

+1

it seems to have a flamed veneer on top of plain maple. doesn't sound high spec at all, really. Now- being japanese it's probably still a really good guitar (like you, I've tried guitars made in the fujigen factory, mainly MIJ ibanezes, but no actual FGN-branded guitars), but that doesn't mean you want to pay way over the odds for it, either...

I mean I paid about a third of that for my edwards. which has the same pickups, lacquer top coat and everything (though the FGN might have an aluminium bridge). Granted, it's not 100% MIJ and I'm guessing the FGN is, but still.

The nearest comparisons I've owned, which are basically the same guitar, from the same factory, would be my Signature LP and Epiphone Japan LP Standard.

The Signature had a quilt veneer top, no nitro finish and was pretty cheap (a bargain, for sure).  The Epi has a slightly higher spec than the Sig, with a "lacquer"/nitro top coat and a plain solid maple top (no veneer, no posh flame/quilt figuring).  It doesn't have Seymour Duncans but, of course, it does legitimately carry the "Les Paul" name on the headstock.  That one did cost quite a lot, but I'm sure I paid way too much for it!

Neither has the "Circle Fretting System", though, I don't know how much that adds to the value (or the complexity of the build).

well, this is a higher spec model and in a limited colour
and the CFS system seems quite interesting
edwards are going for about US$1000 being built in china and only assembled in japan and have a mixed poly/nitro finish
a japan made fernandes or navigator are going for almost US$4000 new
a vintage greco eg1000 or 1200 are going up over $2000
so even considering the veneer thing, I wouldn't say that's overpriced for todays japan market standards
about the same as a new tokai ls98 and less than a ls140q
those tokais and most of the others have veneer tops as well

well sure (that one has a mixed poly/nitro finish too), but I mean if you ask me, the biggest reason for going MIJ (and I'm a total MIJ fan, like philly) pretty much doesn't exist any more (high quality guitars for really good prices), which sucks :(

Yeah, I was looking at how much some of my more recently-acquired MIJ guitars had cost me and realised they were actually pretty stupidly expensive!  Of course I knew that at the time, but I was in the throes of GAS....  :?

That said, my '80s Burny LP Junior has a spec and build quality which is, genuinely, on a par with Gibson Custom (apart from pickup, electronics and nitro finish), and it was not much more than a third of the price.  So MIJ can still be (relatively) very good value.

Oh yeah, i mean you can still get good deals if you shop around/hold out for a good deal/find somewhere with new old stock (new) or go second-hand. Just the everyday going rate on new ones is getting a bit silly, if you ask me. I mean I went gibson with my last guitar (SG standard) because it was actually cheaper than a new MIJ tokai
