Just heard JJ Cale has died

Had a heat attack last night.

I met him a NAMM in the 90's - he was an interesting guy.  I was on the McIntyre amp stand and he was one of the users of the tube talker (tube wah).  He spoke with us for a while and was very nice.  Sorry to hear he's gone.

A true original. I was listening to some of his stuff the other day. Very simple but it had a special magic to it that made it greater than the sum of it's parts.
