i just remembered there is another place in oz that i went to called ravenshoe, while i was there i was in a shop and there was a post card of a place called 'Buggery bend'

i had to go and see it!!

there was no buggering taking place though, thankfully

Re stolen traffic signs: Since februari there is an offical ban on smoking pot in the streets in one particular neigbourhood in Amsterdam. Off course, diligent as we Dutchies are, a menacing red edged sign was developed and placed to warn the tourists.

As expected, the first and scond ones placed lasted less than 24h before being removed by souvenir hunters. After that some more were pinched, so the district council decided to respond by offering the signs up for sale for €90. Incredibly, more than 350 were ordered already. I live in a very weird country for sure :mrgreen:

Shouldn't there be a line through the centre of the sign if it's banning pot smoking? It looks more to me like it's signifying a pot-smoking zone or something.
