pastel shades ( original ) nailbombs and cold sweat
« on: March 06, 2006, 09:14:34 PM »
Hey, this is a reworking of an old track i wrote and decided to play around with. For anyone who has heard it before listen all the way through for the differences, there are quite a few.

I used my Ibanez RG 7321 for this with Nailbomb in the bridge and Cold Sweat in the neck.

All rhythm is nailbomb, all lead cold sweat.

As per usual recording setup is POD XT Pro, MBox, Pro Tools, and a six pack of brewski's.

Comments appreciated(Things are still slightly rough around the edges, and i know its more gain then most would dial up).

Nice playing man - may i ask why you chose a cold sweat for the neck instead of another nailbomb?

I phoned up Tim while deciding what pickups i wanted for my seven string. I have fallen in love with the nailbombs in my other Ibanez ( both are nailbombs ) and wanted a little change for my seven. I was thinking warpigs, but finally came to the decision of the nailbomb but this time going with the cold sweat. I told Tim i wanted a Petrucci, clean sounding neck tone as i do most of my shredding on the neck pup.

I cant really say which is my favourite, they both are awesome. If you do get another set of pups try out the nailbomb cold sweat combo, really is amazing.

Thanks for the other comments, sorry Sambo, i dont know what the problem is. I would offer to send it in an email, but my internet is all screwy and had to send this to a friend to actually upload it.

I have, unexpectedly, had a night in and there happened to be a bottle of rather good wine handy and I seem to have spent a lot of time on t'interweb tonight. The typing has gone somewhat skewiff. The track is well worth a listen if you do get it going. Great tone.

Do you have Windows Media Player?  I think you might need it to run this properly.

Lepersmeesa, that one heavy track.  I wish I could shred like that, too.  ;)
