I know a couple of guys who had a little band that played in pubs once in a while and they got these comfy straps made up with sheepskin pads on the shoulder. The person who made them must have asked if they wanted any custom logos on them, so they got their nicknames put on them.  Didn't look that silly, it just looked like the kind of stuff you get in those shops that cater to bikies though

He's got other colours too, some of which look quite nice. And tbh I've seen them online for about half of that, which isn't that bad a deal.

a strap with your name on is ok. It's kind of arrogant in a cool way. sort of.
'endorsing' a strap or having a 'signature' strap is just a way to get paid money while some company sells golds straps. If i was approached to do something like that, get paid to do nothing, I might be down. I pretty much get paid to pretend to work anyway... if only I didnt even have to pretend!

It's not quite as annoying as dudes with millions of endorsement deals that never use any of the kit anyway. At least JB uses the same core stuff and shows it off every time someone does a rig rundown.
