« on: September 24, 2013, 09:53:49 PM »
Really like this thing. Guitars used - JJ with BKP90 and Mule and Tokai Strat with Apaches. Short clips as follows... 59 Bassman clean, 1987X clean, 66 Topboost slight crunch, Divided by 13 crunch, Supro 1624t set on "Jimi", Goldfinger on gain, Uberschall gain and a profile of David Gilmour's own Hiwatt that was used on The Wall.

Looking forward to giving this a proper listen through my head phones but through my PC speakers it sounds like it has the top end and dynamics that I hear missing in the Axe

I heard and now again hear very convincing sounds. I'm still debating whether it's a tool for me. I can see it as a great machine for studiopurposes. I don't know if it's ideal for gigging. I like to keep things simple and easy adjustable.
Mules, VHII, Crawler, MM's, IT's, BG50's.

Well I have to say it's the best bit of gear I've ever bought. I feel I can get in the ballpark of any sound with this thing. And Telerocker I recently had a studio session with a drummer and got to hear it through a classy pa and all I can say is wow! Dymanics and feel a plenty.

I've been having a friend coming round on fridays for some time now for a jam. Since getting the KPA we jam by putting in one track at a time. Him then me. Here's us from a few weeks ago. He put in the the rhythm on his thinline (with flat 52s) I did the lead and bass and he did the djembe, tambourine and leg slapping. Guitars and bass were through a Two Rock Pro 35 profile. I think it's clear and articulate ymmv........https://app.box.com/s/ry4fwze30q93viv7ai0q

I definitely have a look at Kemper, but they don't come cheap, besides that you need noncolouring poweramp, good monitorspeakers etc. Well, study to do.

Yeah, but do you TR, mine goes through my stereo, when I go jamming I plug it through my friends stereo and it actually sounds better cos he's got a bigger room and as I've said they sound great through a PA. Also the headphone out is exceptional.

Cheers JJ. Most of that was done on the same guitar as yours.

Though the other one is the best looking guitar in the world (imo).

From both sides.

yep, that's exactly the same except with white not black plastic on the pickups and I got a bone nut made, looks identical, good to see I'm not the only user in the world. lol and you even use the same bare knuckle pickups as me. I find myself using the mid position with the bkpp90 and mule together 95% of the time, what year was yours made? looks like an early model like mine.

your strat looks nice too

The first three clips were done neck and middle. The guitar's a 93. I was really lucky, tried one in Guitar Village decided to save up the £950 asking price then got this one used for £600. I've got loads of guitars, but this one is my workhorse. Never seen another.
