New DIY Pedal - Space Ritual
« on: October 12, 2013, 05:50:22 PM »
I wouldn't normally post my pedals outside of the DIY forums, but I'm a little pleased with this one...

I suppose I should start with what's in there. The first effect is an UltraStoner fuzz on Pickdropper's MiniMuffin PCB, that goes into a Madbean Zero Point Dual Delay, followed by a Madbean StageFright (Maestro phaser) and finally into a 1776 Effects Rub-a-Dub reverb.

All of these effects stand alone or will work with any or all of the others in order to create some great psychedelic soundscapes. It's almost like they were made for each other.

I reckon this might be the best effect I've ever built...

Be gentle with the next bit, we're far better at building them than playing them. It's a demo of what it does rather than what we can do with it ;)

Run it at 720p for better audio.

Looks good and sounds good! Well done. The only effect that didn't get me is the fuzz, but I'm not really into fuzz anyway.
Mules, VHII, Crawler, MM's, IT's, BG50's.

I think it is more beautiful inside, beautifully made. Love the name, space ritual was amongst my first albums.
Still enjoying my mini klon clone, juansolo delivers the goods.

Good thing you didn't have this together on Monday - I might never have left!  Only thing I wonder is will my size 44's have enough room to hit the switches individually (and also could you fit an expression pedal to control the phase depth or delay time  [or both] and what would I replace with this!
So many pickups, so little time

This guy...wow...

Very cool thing. All in one psychobox. The things you build amaze me every time.

Yup it's stompable still, the enclosure is pretty large (19x11x3.5 cm). I'd have to build it in a deeper box to get expression pedal jacks on there (there really is no more space in there), but that's not a prob. They're C1M pots however and most expression pedals are 100K so I might have to fettle something on the other end too... Possible though.

Remind me next time your over and I'll bring it down.

Good to see it finished :-) looks brill. I like the fact that you kept it compact and didn't go mental and add all the zero options. The next one ahould have a chorus and vibrato too ;-) What art is that? Oh, and you should post your builds here (and MRredux). I for one would like to see them even if it's a copy paste from your other forums.

The modulation didn't add anything to the effect so I didn't want to try and squeeze the full on ZeroPoint DLX in there. It looses that and the filtering options. Path is on as standard and you keep ghost which is perfect. The standard filtering on the DD is pretty good. Not as cool as the tape / analogue modes on the DLX, but again, for this it'd have been overkill.

With this effect I had a specific goal in mind, so didn't want any more in there really. It's a self contained stoner/psyche box. To get chorus and trem/vibe in there would need a way bigger enclosure. It's already at the limit tightness wise of what I can get in there and how stompable it is. Plus the more you get in there, the more issues you can cause for yourself.

The art was a Sci-Fi landscape wallpaper I found. It just fit the pedal nice.

As for posting the other stuff... I build a lot... I wouldn't want to spam the cr@p out of the forum and piss people off. But as you asked, I made this today ;)

Inspired by Ian Price of this forum so I can get away with it I think. It's a Klonpressor  :D

Ha - you built it! Great stuff! Nice name too, where did you get that from

I'm thinking of selling a few things on at the moment so may well be in touch (don't hold your breath though).

I really like that other pedal you've built too.
I think I hate being indecisive.

A little bit of a re-org and I can get a battery in there too ;)

Not one that could power it, no ;)

Surely there is a way to get a sh*tload of smaller ones in there in every available free space which toghether make up the needed power.

Whatcha say, challenge accepted? (even if it is utterly impractical and just to prove a ridiculous point)

It doesn't help that Klones chew through batteries also...

...and my love/hate relationship with 1590A pedals...

Maybe later ;)
