Creative speakers volume control problem
« on: March 12, 2006, 10:12:17 PM »
First off, sorry for making another thread!

So I got some Creative I-trigue 3200 speakers (I think thats what they are called) off ebay a while ago, worked fine up to a few weeks ago, the volume controller remote thing has started playing up. The volume just changes whenever it wants. It gets to its "proper" volume when you put a load of pressure on the left of the volume knob, which leads me to believe the controller is $%&#ed. Any ideas where I can get a new remote thing from? They wont work without it!

Thats the speakers. I really miss my floor shaking from the sub!

Cheers for any help.

ok firstly, if this isnt off-topic off-topic then im a famous rabbi....

secondly, i have a set of speakers and woofer almost indentical to them but with a different remote... surely you could just make one...? or if you have to apply pressure to one side then why not just use tape to fix it in place..... or something like a cable tie... or buy one directly from creative...

why not take apart the casing of the actual remote and check the wires... my mate did this to one of my old xbox controllers ages ago when it wasnt working- he unscrewed the casing, jiggled the wires a bit, taped them in place, screwed the casing on... and it worked.... even if taping from the outside doesnt work, taping the actual wires directly will...
