I think you can stretch to those styles with Rebel Yells.

That's what I was thinking.

But what might help a lot would be to track down some specs on the PRS Tremonti bridge model.  the PRS site says it's a "custom" magnet and it's wound to 15.42k.  who knows what "custom" might mean.

It won't be easy to pull of Bonamassa and Eric Johnson from the Nailbomb, though it cleans up good. If the heavy rock/metal/alter bridge is the most important for you, it could be the right pickup.

I said the same thing in my original post, hence I was thinking of things like the Holydiver, Crawler and Abraxas but apparently he seems to want the bridge pickup to be more balls out Metal while the neck is Blues. It seems like a VERY odd way of doing it to me as such different styles suggest the need for two guitars but it's his money. I ended up suggesting an A-Bomb with a MQ as the most viable combination but I can't honestly say that's what I'd do myself.

Agreed! Maybe a better option is a Black Dog with a Mule-neck and use a booster. The Marshall has quite some gain, and the BD can handle metalstyles with authority.

Most of the times I use the neck for clean (volume dialed in low) as im cleaning up my dirty marshall and also for smooth leads. The bridge is mainly used for the riffing and aggressive style solo's with more bite. I like to build up my solo's from bluesy and melodic to "shredding", I guess that new song of the new Ab record "bleed it dry" is a good example of songs that we have with our  band. Still balance is key so input on what pairs nicely with each other is more important.

You cant have it all in one guitar I know :)

I understand. If you want balance and stretch to those styles, my suggestions would be either a RY-set or a Nailbomb/Emerald-set.
Mules, VHII, Crawler, MM's, IT's, BG50's.
