Hey everyone! I'm buying new pups for my schecter diamond series. I play Heavy pop/punk music and am wondering what's the best pickup for it? I'm going for a These Hearts, Chunk No Captain Chunk, ABR, TDWP etc kind of sound. I also have a coil splitter I'm installing for more versatility as i also play worship music at my church too with this guitar. I know this can be achieved with a lot of pickups or EMGs but Ive been thinking about the painkiller because it claims to have all the clarity, tightness, full heavy sound but also clean up real nice. The nailbomb seems like it could also be good though and ive heard other people say the miracle man or warpig too but im so lost! I want the classic humbucker look though. Thoughts??? Thanks in advance!!  :D

Hm, I love the Nailbomb, but I'm a bit thinking that the pickups you mentioned are more Hard Rock/Metal-orientated.

Maybe something like a Black Dog would be better to bridge the gap between pop/punk and the heavy stuff. I found the Black Dog did Punk really well, due to the thick mids.
Current BKPs: Miracle Man, Nailbomb, Juggernaut, VHII
Past BKPS: Holy Diver, Trilogy Suite, Sinner, Black Dog

Its got a maple neck and basswood body. Current pickups are stock overwounld schecter ceramic pickups. I like that sound but want a little more output and clarity

Hello, if you guitar is naturally bright i would advise staying away from the painkiller. The painkiller is an awesome pup but i have found that it can become ice picky in a bright guitar. If it is in a darker guitar it sounds f***in awesome though!
