I really liked Guitar Buyer.... the mag was good and the photography was superb - Eckie is a great photographer.

I liked how it had more of the UK-made stuff.

I have to make sure I throw them out at the end of the month or else I end up running out of space.

I'm always paranoid I'll throw them out and then realise there was an article I needed in them. But I am getting to the point where I might have to throw them out, anyway. Especially with the internet, a lot of the articles are available online anyway, and it's quicker to find them with an online search than by leafing through tons of magazines, anyway... Plus while I don't really want to throw them out, if it's them or having the space for another guitar or two...

You'd be surprised just how much Tardis-like space there is under a seemingly average-sized bed....

Isn't there a point where magazines just keep repeating the same stuff?

I mean most guitarists could be matched to a few stereotypes, right now what comes to mind is:

Stratman with some sorted of Fender type clean amp (also plays a tele)
Jazzman with his 335 and whatever they play those through
Rockman with Les Paul through a Marshall type amp (also plays other Gibson/Fender guitars)
Metalman with superstrat through a Rectifier/5150 (guitar gets more pointy with lack of maturity)

If you replaced all the ads with something useful in a single issue, all these guys would be sorted when it comes to gear

I usually buy the Guitarist, but lately they've gone down the Jazz/Blues/Acoustic route so much, there's less and less of interest in it for me.
American Guitar World on the other hand and Total Guitar are probably too much metal-orientated. I sometimes buy them if there is a song/workshop/article I really want. There rarely is.
German Gitarre&Bass is a notch up in quality, and also a bit thicker (hence there's more variety). Unfortunately, I really only can get it when I pass through the Airport in Frankfurt.
Current BKPs: Miracle Man, Nailbomb, Juggernaut, VHII
Past BKPS: Holy Diver, Trilogy Suite, Sinner, Black Dog

I reckon there is. A bit like you can only post so many times about socks, shirts and other fashion items before it starts becoming repetitive.
I think I hate being indecisive.

I get most of my info from this very forum and have never bought a guitar magazine :)

The ToneQuest Report is good, and if I would buy something it would be that.

Its not like much is changing very quickly with guitar stuff - as JDC alludes too. Sometimes there will be a genuinely new innovation, but I don't see them coming out on a monthly basis.

Nah, garbage! Why pay for shitety unimformed advice when you can just google it. But seriously they are just bland. I'd rather read Auto Trader it has far less PRS and 5star reviews!
