I want to get my strat up to a better standard. Our band use mostly use humbucker sounds and my stock strat pickups are a bit thin and brittle and dont cut it when paired with a Les Paul.

Trilogy Suit or Irish Tours for more power, but retaining the Sweet tone.

I like the sound of the Slow Hands but I dont know if they would solve my problem. I.E still not punching through enough.

Chris.
a good riff beats them every time!

How are you man?. Good to hear from you, I have a trilogy set on a strat. and it has an awesome tone, i guess we are going to have to buy LOT'S of guitars to try all the pickups just to find out in the end that we like them all. I had asked Tim for a set of pickups were we could play Ozzy, Judast Priest, and the trilogy came out. This set has excellent mids besides everything else, which i think is EC(slow hand) main thing. It all comes down to the style that you like to play the most. By the way i would like to know about the Emerald set that you were going to install on your guitar.   :)

Hi LULUSG.

I have two strats which I hope to upgrade with BKPs and hope to get a Gold Top this year. I would like a set of Mules or Crawlers for the GT.

The Emeralds are superb. Great balance and the low end is as warm as log fire on a cold day.

The response I get from the volume controls is quite staggering compaired to the stock pups. With both PUPS selected I get an unusual, but good thin tone. This is the Peter Green tone that Tim had refered to, with the neck magnet reversed. I put a little overdrive with this tone and it sounds great. Although it might not be everyones cup of tea.

Bridge pickup for power chords is stunning, and the neck gives good atmospheric, minimal playing lead tones.

If i could work computers I would put a sample on the players forum.
I've got a mate who might help me out there. Maybe a picture too.
