Yeah I sometimes feel it'd be a lot easier to be the only guitarist. I'd actually like to give it a go running a stereo rig and looper, think it'd help make the slightly more pedestrian songs a bit more interesting and challenging to play. But the main thing for me would be less people to organise, it's hard enough to get things rolling as it is. 3pc with the bassist singing would be ideal! Shame I cant sing at all.
Think my band has gone tits up as well so it's back to the drawing board for the time being. They decided they no longer want to do the rock covers and want to focus on 60s pop/rock music as a niche to get more function gigs etc. Not my kinda thing at all, there are some good songs but they're boring to play and I can see myself hating the gigs again if I stick it out. Just feels like all the balls have been removed from the sound haha.
I'm working on my original stuff with a singer at the minute so maybe something will come of that. Have played with him a few times before so I know he's up for it.
