I'm looking for a brigde humbucker....

...that sounds like a mix between the Seymour Duncan Custom Custom and the Seymour Duncan JB, just better (which i'm sure all BK pickups do! :))

For those who has never heard Seymour Duncan pickups, the Custom Custom (CC) has a very warm, fat, "even" and dense tone, and the JB is very open, clear and singing.

Forgive my sins, but here's sound clips of the pickups (from the SD site):

JB:

CC:

So, i want a BK Brigde Humbucker that has the "best of both worlds", clean, warm, thick and open sounding. Low output is preferable.

Thanks,
-Erlend

The Nailbomb is considered to be a good replacement for the JB. I've got both and the Nailbomb is clear and distorts much better.

I had once upon a time considered the JB, but backed off.  I found the Custom Customs actually a bit unbalanced away from the low end for my tastes, but did think about the Custom 5 when it came out. Still, I was already a bit soured on SDs by then.

I ended up going for BKP Crawlers, which I think would do a reasonable job of meeting the requirements for "clean, warm, thick and open sounding".  They're not particularly low output, but then neither is the JB or Custom Custom!  The Crawlers (and Nailbombs) are around the same range as those: 14k-ish to 16k-ish, no?

If you really want something of a lower, PAF-like output, you might want to go for the (and this is the BPK "stock answer" ;)) Mule.

An Holy Diver bridge (A5) would do the job too.

I'm thinking Crawler here too. Nice fat and chunky tone with great cleans. If you'd like a more open tone, go for the Riff Raffs.
