When I emailed  BKP they recommended the Holy Diver.  I have the Holy Divers in another all Mahogany soloist and it's way to middy for my taste.  I'm looking forward to the MM's.

Which makes sense as based on your link, yours isn't all mahogany, it's maple neck-thru, which will tend to be middy anyway. The Miracle Man should be a perfect fit. It has a lot in common with the Holydiver but has an EQ that's better suited to a Soloist. It's certainly the one I found worked best.

I'd be interested to hear a recording of the guitar unplugged.

So, I remembered I had a Crawler somewhere, so I put that one in.  I like it.

The Crawler is one of my all-time favourite pickups and would certainly work well in a maple neck-thru guitar but it's never suggested because maple neck-thru guitars are invariably used for Metal and the Crawler is more of a Blues Rock and Rock pickup that can do some early Metal but once you get into Metal, the crawler is leaving its comfort zone. Having said that, if it works for you then it's perfect and will probably give you the most versatile Soloist in the country I'd imagine.

Well, as stated, I wasn't looking for metal tone, but 70's hard rock.  The Crawler really fits that bill
