With proper boosting, yes, it can get quite aggressive

For clarification, I wasn't trying to claim the A-Bomb was middy - it's not, but it does have pronounced upper mids and that's what contributes to its aggressive sound. I agree it's got a PAF character but it's a VERY angry PAF. Overall, the Holydiver is middier as a pickup but to me, because the mids are more evenly spread as opposed to being focused in one area like the A-Bomb, the overall impression is more subtle. The Holydiver does take an overdrive pedal like a trooper. If you like cleans, you're better off with an alnico magnet anyway but I suggested the Miracle Man anyway because you seemed to want something with less mids and in many respects, the Miracle Man is essentially a Holydiver with less mids. Realistically, it's difficult to find a pickup that is absolutely perfect for everything you want but for the life of me, I can't think of a reason why the Holydiver wouldn't work well in that guitar.
