Impulse pickups users
« on: October 26, 2016, 03:48:43 PM »
Hey guys and gals, i've a ESP Horizon that i'm looking to put an Impulse set into. Its has a really heavy ash body that can be harsh in the high end at times and i tend to tune no lower than drop C.

Has anyone any experience using the Impulse set that doesn't use a baritone or extended range guitar?

Ps: Seymour Duncan Nazgul/sentient pickups in there currently.

Cheers

Ian

Ordered a set of these on Friday past, so i'll let you know how they sound. Not a huge amount of reviews out there.

Take one for the team and let us know.  I'm sure they'll be great.

Yeah, man. Thought i'd take the gamble. Dan at BKP said they were a lot more aggressive than the Black hawks. I can't wait to get them.

Interesting.

Black hawks are like actives but better to my ears in fact the only thing better about actives for me is their noise reduction.

I found the black hawks extremely punchy, cutting, clean with gain.
