Another new tuner - cheap and good!
« on: December 21, 2016, 01:18:11 PM »
A bit boring maybe, but I got a new tuner yesterday and I'm really happy with it I must say.

Its an Xvive PT-03:

https://www.amazon.co.uk/Xvive-XPT03-Chromatic-Rechargeable-Battery/dp/B00HYDU5Q0/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1482326114&sr=8-1&keywords=xvive+tuner

Its a tuner in a mini-pedal format, but the big thing is it has a built-in rechargeable battery.

The lights are good and bright, its fully chromatic and has decent response and precision.

Paid less than £30 for it.

Cool! I got the Peterson strobe tuner app for my iPad and I love it. For gigs, I just tune to the bass player and be done with it. :)

Those Xvive pedals seem to be pretty good quality for the money you pay, though I have no direct experience myself. I use a Korg Pitchblack myself, which was also bought because it was fairly cheap and does the job very well. I have no need to change at the moment as it works perfectly but if I do need to change at some point I'll certainly take a look at the Xvive. Thanks very much for the tip.
