NPD -- TC Mimiq

Only my second TC Electronic pedal besides the Ditto, I have always thought this pedal would be interesting to have for a recording project I am starting next week. I haven't used it yet, so full review to follow. I am also looking forward to trying it with my mono synths!

Just gave it a play. This pedal is AMAZING, very different from the DECO or Keeley 30MS. It really does sound like overdubs, not ADT. Audio clip coming soon ish.

Could I run mono out of my Palmer cab sim, through the Mimiq, then stereo into a DAW?

Yes! As long as the output is line or instrument level, you can absolutely use it that way. The sense of space and tweakability this pedal has is staggering.

Here's my first go with the Mimiq ... sorry, you will have to sit through a bit of synth jamming first lol. This song was written and recorded in real time straight off the 2 bus from my Mackie mixer; I played all of the parts in real time going into various sequencers and recorded the whole thing as I played.

The acoustic guitar is going into the Fishman Aura then into a TC Ditto, then into the Mimiq where it gets made into stereo going into the Mackie.

It took 9 takes to get this recorded, and it still has a couple of clams on it as it was the first time I've ever tried to do something like this. This was played, mixed, and recorded in real time. What you are hearing is the actual performance.

Sounds really like a doubler (so I does what it should do). I can reach that effect with a flanger at zero (and a subtle delay).
