How do you set up your Alnico Nailbomb?

I have an Alnico Nailbomb set installed in one of my ESP Eclipses (Les Paul style, 40mm mahogany / maple body, mahogany / rosewood set neck, etc) with the bridge pickup about 3 or 4mm from the strings. Within half a turn up or down of the pickup height adjustment screws I can alter the pickup sound from hollow and raspy to thick and full on. Personally I prefer it a little hollow and raspy as I feel that it has more character that way (and it also best resembles the sound of the official clips on the website) and fits better in the mix,  but how do you like yours set up ?

I liked the c-bomb somewhat close, but the alnico nailbomb was just too much, so I had it back just a little

It's not just me then. I much prefer the sound when the pickup height is backed off by half a turn - it's surprising how much difference that half a turn makes.

I prefer my Nailbomb as far away as possible from my guitars, that's why I bought the Warpig and didn't look back. No matter the height I tried with that pickup (I mean the ceramic), I couldn't get anything possitive from it. Not my pickup, or at least not in the guitar I had it installed.

I have an old Ibanez (MIJ), alder body, maple neck. The thing is in the video you can hear emg has full sound to it. But for me, bare knuckle has waaaaaaaay more characteristic tone compare to not only the EMGs, ( Its the 3rd time I have change the pickups on that guitar) any other humbucker I have used.

That raspy mid makes it so sonically sweet to my ears.
