Schecters in the UK?
« on: April 09, 2006, 01:35:23 PM »
Well after playing a Schecter C1 Elite yesterday I decided that my new guitar was to be a Schecter C1 Plus, (C1 Elite is basically the same guitar)

But heres the thing, I want the Transparent Blue colour and Sound Cnotrol only have the cr@p Sunburst colour and maybe the Cherry sunburst if they can find one. Thats in the whole of the UK.

So I either have to settle for the cherry or wait till the next shipment at end of summer for the colour i want.

Neither of these I am 100% happy with so question is does anyone esle know of any way of getting one into the UK? I've tried Musician's Freind but they say Schecter have restricted them from selling it to Europe.

This is so frustrating! I don't mind paying extra for shipping one from America it's just finding somewhere that will do it!

i've been trying to find somewhere to get my schecter 7-string from.
The only site i've found which could be a possibility is in Australia:

http://www.guitar.com.au

btw the prices aren't US Dollars. This scared me the first time i saw the prices.
PRS Starla for sale, see Seconds out section...

let me kow if you get any info friom them, they seem to have made their ordering process really confusing or is it just me.

I just emailed World Music Supply based in the US to ask if they ship schecters to the UK so waiting on a reply from them.

If an experienced eBayer from the US could get a hold of one and put it on eBay I would certainly buy it from them obviously theyd get a good deal on it.

in my experience sound control aren't dedicated enough to do that. they wouldn't get me any rickenbacker strings even though i said i would buy them in bulk. i went to academy of sound and they were much better for getting things in for individual customers, but they are sound control stores now any way

Well soundcontrol said they only get Schecters shipped to them twice a year and they've just had one so they wont get another till the end of summer.

Now I don't know whether they could actually order an individual guitar or not but they're telling me that they cant.

Although they said if i get one from them they'll install my BKPs free of charge.

There was quite a funny moment where the younger worker asked the head guy if they sold BKPs and the head guy just turned and said BKP wont sell to them, only independants. Had to have a giggle to myself.

I was thinking about a schecter 7 string a couple of months ago but sound control said they would only be getting a shipment in 3 months time. So I got an Epi gothic V instead. Will prob be tempted if they get a 7 string in their next delivery of schecters though
MM set, warpig set, about to be fitted - custom 7 bridge 'pig, CS7 neck.

Sound Control in london will order stuff in (I wanted to try one of the Squire Esprits), but no matter how much I explained that it was to try not nessicerraly to buy they ignored me. Lovely little guitar for the price though.

Hey Monkeywalker what Ric are you playing (assuming thats why you are wanting Ric strings).

Holiday music and ricsRus do mailorder and internet order Ric strings

Well I have an answer for you all, had recently had some trouble with Sound Control myself.

The problem itself, isnt Sound Control, its Schecter. Basically there are two distributors in the world ( well major ones ). Sound Control and Guitar centre in the states. Basically Guitar Centre get first dibs on anything they want  ( was looking for my brother, a lefty 7 string hellraiser ). Then Sound Control get left overs. This is why they cant order anything specific from Schecter. I know this because I have ordered many specific items from them ( Engl and Ibanez ). Just talk to the manager, or someone who isnt a idiot, things move along alot quicker.
