The Bare Knuckle site has been massively popular and has suffered performance problems for a couple of weeks now.
The last straw was when Tim posted a clip from Steve Stevens and the resources of our server were sucked dry with 1500 downloads down in the space of 48 hours!!
So the hosting company had to temporarily move the site onto another server with a different IP address because of the load issues. Unfortunately they neglected to tell us which is why we could not prepare for such a significant move.
As a result:
- Our email accounts were still pointing to the old IP address
- The site got suspended due to massive resource consumption.
So, we are now on a brand new server which is able to cope with the increasing demand of the Bare Knuckle site.
