Out of the BKP range I think the Cold Sweat will get you closest to the early Slayer and Metallica tone.  The Miracle Man will also get close.  Actually the Miracle Man is what I replaced the Cold Sweat in my SG with, and it gives more chunk to palm mutes.

Has your tech ever heard your SG?  All of the ones I've ever heard have been bright, middy, and lacking in bottom end.  Even with Warpigs.

Yes my technician has been working on this guitar for a long time.
This SG belonged before to two Prog/Black Metal guitarists who played a lot of concerts w/it.

Indeed, the mahogany makes it particularly dark, which was not displeasing to the two previous owners!

I'm afraid these pickups scoop too high mids.
I think I need mids for classic punk songs.
I need chunk to palm mutes, and I need mids for "Classic UK Punk".

Not easy...

The ceramic Nailbomb will be hairy but not as overpowering as the alnico version

Not as scooped as the Cold Sweat and Miracle Man

The VHII, Cold Sweat, and Miracle Man are all superior to the C-Bomb for lead work though.  With a Nailbomb you have to rely on your neck pickup more for leads

A bit of a gamble, but maybe the Ragnarok migth be your cup of tea.
Mules, VHII, Crawler, MM's, IT's, BG50's.

New Question to Customer Service.

The Question : "I will need a new advice from you !
I really appreciate the "Woman Tone". But it's obvious that it's not the sound I'm going to use the most in my Punk-Crossover Band.

My Guitar Tech advises me to find pickups w/high midrange and more treble to compensate the dark side of the mahogany of the SG.

For example, I enjoy Andy Cairns' sound of Therapy?.
To my knowledge he uses a 500T straight in JCM900.

Besides the punk tones, those are really those sounds that I want to approach with this Gibons SG :
The first tones of Metallica (First LP), the tone of Body Count, Bad Brains's tone or that of Andy Cairns.
While still playing Punk Old School like The Damned.

Again thank you all for your advice to find the right set for the right guitar!"

The Answer
: "The Cold Sweat bridge is closest to the 500t.
Any had some of our pickups but I can't remember what they were - but the Cold Sweats would be very good for his tone actually (great band too).
Good luck! "

ThX Telerocker for this advice !
I'm not a gambler n' don't want to play Russian Roulette !

The Ragnarok's EQ is balanced to the point where you won't lose the low mids in favour of the top end.
Ok but, I need high mids and a little bit more of Treble than my 498T.

Another opinion/advice about Ragnarok ?

Here's the Great Master Dave Solven !

I'm not a lead guitarist.
I'm a rhythm guitarist.
Love big bass lines, groove and hip-hop.

I want to find the best BKP Set to boost my rhythm while keeping in mind the sounds of early Metallica, Body Count, Bad Brains, Therapy?, UK/US Punk...
And my need for treble and high mediums !

It's the equation to solve  :afro:

If you think that C-Bomb Bridge groove for me, it's perfect !

Need to be sure of my choice Bro' !

I found the medium gain samples of the Ragnarok quite happening, but for rhythm parts the C-Bomb does a nice job.

c-bomb is a lot closer to the 500t than the cold sweat
it has a darker voicing, though, a bit like the 498t
Riff Raff, Mules, Black Dog, VHII's, Cold Sweat

After listening carefully, I share your opinion, Ragnarok is an interesting option as well.

You are a my Man Mr TeleRocker !

I prefer C-Bombs to Cold Sweat.

Blackhawks are punchy, tight and clear, yet I find them a tad sterile (maybe I should say: hifi on turbo) compared to other BKP's. But they might do the trick for you.

This review is one way !
Everything seems perfect with this set. Maybe too...
I understand what you mean by "a tad sterile".

Relevant review ?
Any Black Hawks's users ?

Thinking that the right B-Hawks's set is C-A5
Trying to imagine this set in a Thiele loaded w.EV' for real HiFi Tone :afro:

I saw several Parisian "Crossover Punk Metal" bands playing with Orange head and Mesa Thiele w/EV' and their sound was absolutely huge !
