Another ESP NT7 needing calibrated set - advice please

Been a while Good Folks, hope everyone's well...

Spoke with Tim, spoke with a few studio cats, figured I'd ask here too - round out the intel.

I've got one ESP NT7 loaded with HolyDivers, 4 wire.  Quite nice.  Versatile, splits really well.
Just picked up another NT7, would like to rid the ax of its current EMG707 (just can't do actives), and would like your opinion.

What I'm seeking in this guitar's tones:
- it'll be between standard tuning, half-step, and Drop A with possible half step.  All depends on music.
- amps, Butterslax, TwinJet, and possibly JJ100
- I'd like the guitar to offer a different personality from its brother with the Holy Divers
- the tone I'm seeking is tight, accurate, fast bottom end (and this could be tuned LOW!!), but complex with overtones, and open sounding.
- not into compression, but into sustain (I know, therein lies a feat!!)
- punch ya in the legs and guts aggression

Thanks for any pointers.  Heavy open A/C bass-chopping while working the rest of the strings for melody and song.
Likely some heavy hard hits to the strings too - I play heavy handed.

If low output is no show-stopper, you might want to inspect the Black Dog, which handles lower tunings very well.

Got them in a '68 Custom Les Paul - love the grunt, but seeking something more modern and heavy.  But ya, they're up there with amazing tonal grunt and midrange bite - the name is very fitting :D

What happened to the Diezels?

Still have a couple Diezels but the Friedman Butterslax is outrageously rich and "new" sounding to me - so it's been getting a lot of my attention and therefore, inspiration.  Hagen kicks ass, but the Butterslax is tonally totally different and wicked sounding.  It's a bloody beast man!!!!

Was thinking Impulse.  Many folks are saying NO!!!  But I'm very intrigued to be honest.

I can highly recommend the new True Grit humbuckers for exactly what you're describing - clear, rich, open, tight, smooth up top... They're a new favourite of mine for sure. Alternatively the Rebel Yells would be a good shout here - similar power to the Holy Diver but with grindier and more clarity in the mids.
