Not sure if Cold Sweats are a little harsh in my Custom 24

Sometimes I pick it up and it sounds fantastic, there's a sweet spot around the 5-7th fret where they really shine, but higher up the fretboard, things can start to sound a tiny bit brittle and almost screetchy and scratchy (best terms I can find sorry! haha).

Was wondering what people are using in their Custom 24's and if I'd benefit from changing the CS's out for something else BKP-wise.

I'm into heavy rock/metal/blues and eveything in between...it's absolutely necessary for me to get tight percussive palm muting with a nice bass response that isn't flubby.

I'm reluctant to go for a Holy Diver because I have another guitar earmarked for one of those in the bridge (a Floyd equipped Caparison).

I think the Diver would be a good choice or, as Eric suggests, the True Grit, but I don't know much about these yet.

I have a quite dark les paul with Rebel Yells, tunned in drop C (12-52 string gauge), it sounds great, massive modern rock sound, but sometimes I feel like missing a bit in the medium/high and high end spectrum. So I'm thinking in moving the RY to my brighter PRS SC245 and get something more shining for the les paul, maybe the Cold Sweats, maybe the Black Dogs

I think the RY should match well with the CU24 too. The Abraxas should work great too,  you'd lose a bit of output but get more clarity and definition in return
