Riff Raff with DCR of 9,2 kOhms?

Hey guys, just bought a set of Riff Raffs on Reverb, they arrived yesterday. I’ve measured them and really wondered about the readings I took. The bridge is 9,2kOhms, Neck 8,2kOhms. The readings are much higher than that of Riff Raff Set. I wrote the seller, but he keeps to claim that these are RIff Raffs. There was no box as proof included.

What would you guys do?

Hmm, well that does seem quite high, but bearing in mind there is a bit of variation in resistance with the coils being handwound, plus the fact the DC resistance reading can vary greatly with temperature, I could be led to believe they are Riff Raffs as the seller states. Ultimately it's up to you whether you'd want to send them over to BKP to check, or install them and decide whether you like how they sound regardless of what model they are.

Yeah that's more in the range of what I'd expect from a VHII or Black Dog set.

I gave them a try yesterday... and I really think they are Riff Raffs! I have Black dogs in another guitar and had Mules as well as a VHII in that guitar. They sound different to them and have all the characteristics of Riff Raffs. They don’t seem to be hot or muffled as the DCR suggests. Both VHII and Black Dogs are much hotter. But how does those DCR readings happen? My multimeter is ok

I'd put it down to temperature and perhaps the pickups being slightly on the hotter side of the wind tolerance
