The Emeralds will not get you anywhere near Stratty.
The bridge is very PAF like in character, just a bit brighter and barkier, with a lot of fatness. In some guitars it might have the harshness of a spikey Strat bridge pickup, but that's the only similarity I can think of. The neck is FAT FAT FAT, thick, rich and a little compressed. Way too much in the mid range for the scooped/woody Strat neck tone. The splits aren't very Stratty either.
I would suggest you look more at the Mule or the VHII. The Mule is very balanced and open, but still has balls when you need it to. Coil-splits are more Tele-like but there is that spankiness there. I haven't played the VHII but by all accounts it pairs well with Strat pickups and splits excellently, and like the Mule has a very uneven wind so it's very open and clear. The blurb on the site even mentions that it deals well with rotary switching, which to me reads like a veiled way of saying they'll get on well in PRSes.
