Hello!
I would love some help and opinions on this, as I'm on a search that's getting rather tedious. (tl/dr at the bottom)
As stated, I have a Solar A2.6 coming in (endorsement, yay!) and it needs some Bare Knuckle action as I really disliked the stock pickups. So here's where the fun starts. I can't decide what to put in it.
My bands other guitarist plays an all-mahogany Gibson explorer and swears by his BKP Warpig.
We play death metal in drop B with Swedish style melodies

and I would like something I like, but that fits the bands sound. We have differing opinions on what a guitar should sound like, as I'm not super into death metal, but more technical stuff.
Anyway..
So my choices are, in order, Cold sweat, warpig, nailbomb. But I'm open to suggestions.
I've only ever tried the cold sweat and loved it. It's tight, it's mean and has a lower bass response.
The warpig has more of a grunt to it, more bass and rumble from what I hear.
And I'm super curious about the nailbomb but have nothing to go on.
The Solar has a mahogany body and maple neck-thru.
Previously I've been using DiMarzio X2N (can I state other brands here? I hope so) in a Caparison Dellinger (mahogany body, bolt-on maple neck) and thought it to be too boxy and scratchy I did like the "roar" and clarity/separation of it.
The pickup that has sounded the most how I want it is the DiMarzio D-activator. Albeit drop B is slightly too low for it to sound good. If I could get a sound like that, but that can pick up the lower tuning would be amazing!
What I'm after is a pickup that can take lower tunings, is clear sounding and has good separation and very clear leads without getting scratchy. I like a 'roar' instead of a 'grunt' if that makes any sense at all. Not too dynamic as I like my notes jumping right out of my amp.
TL/DR
I bought a Solar guitar and hate the pickups. Mahogany body, maple neck.
I'm the lead guitarist in a melodic death metal band playing in drop B tuning.
Looking for something that sounds like DiMarzio D-activator but meaner.
Wanting a tight sound that doesn't get scratchy at leads. Needing clarity for large chords and not too dynamic cause METALLLLL

Wanting a 'roaring' sound more of a 'grunting'.
Any suggestions and/or sound samples would be greatly appreciated!
