Jugg or not
« on: September 06, 2018, 07:19:55 AM »
Hi folks, what do Jugger bridge pups sound like frequency wise if you're not playing djent stuff, like how about progressive through a Jcm 800 or 900? Trying to tame treble and boost bass in a standard tuned Ibanez S.

Does it have a floyd rose style bridge??

Juggernauts have very VERY smooth and attenuated upper mids although there is a nice bite in the treble.

They are dark, low mid focused pickups which are designed to really phatten up and smooth out bright guitars.  I think you may like how they would sound through a marshall.  I use them for not Djent and I quite like them.  They are fairly transparent and I can hear the Schaller FR style bridge on my 6 string, especially when compared to my hard tail RG7421.

I like them but some people really don't.  It's a preference thing.  But they are incredibly versatile pickups that do many things very well.  Just use them for metal and progressive styles.

Yes it's a Floyd tremolo. Thank you for your insight.

I gig a lot in a couple of rock/pop covers bands and absolutely love my Juggs! They're really fat, lots of low mid growl from the bridge, and the neck has lots of character for solo's. Definitely much more than just a djent pickup  If you want more bottom end and smoother highs then I think it'll fit that requirement well!
Bridge: (A)Pig, HD, Jugg, PK, (A)NB, Crawler, Aftermath, RY, Abraxas, Emerald, BD, VHII, RR, Cobra, Sinner, Trilogy, Stockholm, Supermassive.
Neck: IT, SM, CS, Trilogy, Emerald, Cobra, Blue note.
