Fender Stratocaster Custom with 2 Irish Tours and (?) bridge?
« on: November 13, 2018, 01:28:18 PM »
Hi!

I've got a Fender Custom Shop, mahogany body, maple neck and rosewood fretboard with 3 Fender CS69. I want to change pickups. I like Irish Tours, but I want a bridge pickup with more output, but oaired well with IT. What pickup do you recommend?

Thank you!

The Abraxas is like a hotter PAF, could pair well with a set of IT's.
BKP: Abraxas - Les Paul
Holy Diver - Charvel
Mule - Les Paul
Rebel Yell - Les Paul
VHII - PRS CU22
Emerald - Les Paul
Warpig - Caparison Horus

Mahogany body? Extraordinary for a Fender CS. Not alder or ash?

So it's a SSS-configuration I presume, no-bathtub to install a full humbucker on the bridge?

In fact I have only two recommendations: Slowhand bridge or an Irish Tour with a baseplate. I have to little information about the Boot Camp True Grit single coils. If the bridge TR is hotter than the Irish Tour bridge, that one might work too. You can ask BKP.
Mules, VHII, Crawler, MM's, IT's, BG50's.
