The Warpig...definitley. The Miracle Man is next in line, but nothing is heavier than the Pig.

Ye, the order that the pickups are placed in the catalogue shows their output I think. So a Nailbomb would come after the Miracle man.

But ye, the Warpig deffinately sounds like the most powerfull.

When you listen to what people say and they say that the 'Pig is HEAVIER AD GAINIER than the EMG 81, then you know it's flat out EVIL

Don't forget the higher the output the more the amp compresses and overdrives, so the dynamic range is reduced. This can have the effect of making lower output pickups be percieved as sounding louder as more harmonics are present.

In terms of voltage the warpig is highest, but you may find the frequency response of another pickup gives you more volume in the frequency band you need, for example the Miracle Man has a tighter bass but more low mid than a Warpig.

the dc reading does seem to vary slightly, and i think i'm right in saying that the measurments they get are only a rough guide. my abraxas is 13.9k but i remeber reading a thread in which tim said they would measure about 14.2

at least i think so any way, of course it's entirely possible that i dreamt this so don't quote me on it

5k is a pretty big 'variation'!

I asked for a suped up MM "Warpig or higher if possible without impareing tone" or something like that.

I got it :D

Edit: youre right, though. My pig is 23.0, rather than 22.5. I imagine none of my BKs are bang on the advertised DC. And even if they were to 0.1k, just add another decimal place...you get the idea.

+/- 0.5 or 1k sounds about right.

On paper the Warpig has the most output, but the Miracle Man will give it a run for its money!

DC readings vary a lot, as much as 2 to 3k between tempurature extremes!

Also when you measure don't hold the hook up wire onto the meter probes with your fingers, that will give strange readings!

And one last note, measure the pickup out of circuit as the pots and switch all work to throw the reading off.
