something low/mid output for a mahogany tele deluxe
« on: December 06, 2018, 07:39:32 PM »
hey folks. been a while. i'm looking for some feedback here. i've been thinking of doin a tele deluxe build for a while now and i want it to be versatile. i'm thinkin mahogany body, roasted maple neck with a rosewood board. for reference, i love the 10th anniversaries in my 335. its so versatile and sings like a bird and is probably the best rock tone i've ever gotten. but my 335 isnt super comfortable to play at times. so i want something that could be in the same ballpark but work well in this new guitar. i could afford to go a bit hotter since i play some modern stuff too but i dont want anything in the modern catagory. my original thought was supermassive hsp90 bridge and MQ neck hsp90.  but i think i may wanna do humbuckers instead. any thoughts?

Hey man, good to hear from you. Tele and P90's = yummy. If you can stand a little hum that would be a great combo.

yeah i had a lindy fralin p90 in a gibson LP jr recently and it gave me some serious p90 love again for the first time in a while. i tend to play a bit more modern for my original stuff though so i think supermassive is my best bet... hmmm. but i dont know. i always tend to have my heart set on humbuckers. i'm even considering the bootcamp series.

I had the 3 x P90 Yamaha 503 Troy van Leeuwen, but had too much tuningissues (Bigsby on it...). So I sold it. This thread made me realize that I need a P90 equiped guitar soon. I could go for the Supermassive too.
