http://www.soundclick.com/bands/pagemusic.cfm?bandID=299442

just click the little icon for hi-fi play... its the song called

"The World Around Me" i think

Ok this is a song that i did the rhythm (picking) guitaring for, and a dude from another forum did the bass, lead bits of guitar, BBC background noise   , and singing for....

shows just how good a clean sound this pup can provide... and this was done with a cr@ppy preset clean effect on a zoom ps-04... not even a stereo track or anything! so i can assure you... it sounds even better in real life... god its lush....

in fact...

ill finish this in a sec.... gonna go play some more geetar....

******************************

ok back.

yer anyway, where was i.... oh yes, this pickups is just amazing,

hope you like the sound and song...

P.S... listen out for the "blah blah of the BBC, reporting, Katmandu" made me crack up

I really like your arpeggio stuff, even if it is a bit sloppy in places.  :P  I'm not sure what I think of the lyrics.  The song could use more dynamics, too.  It needs to build and then go somewhere.

I do like your playing though, Sam.  It's always interesting to hear what you have come up with.

cheers mark, yeah the playing was sketchy... but thought id post the clip anyway to give you guys and idea of the capabilities of the pickup.

just to clarify- this is for the sound not the song.... (although any extra comments about the song are most welcome...  :D )

P.S: i dont understand the lyrics or what theyre about lol, and yeah a build-up would make it a whole lot more interesting...

thanks again.

Sambo -nice playing and nice sound from that BKP, lush is a word that comes to mind - what are your influences, coz I always associate Melody Makers with Stones or Punk but you seem more folk/indie orientated?
BKPS: Milks, P90s, Apaches, Mississippi Queens, Mules, PG Blues, BG FP 50s, e.60s strat custom set

i dont really have any influences as such...

but yeah- the folk music is something im really into at the moment when it comes to writing my own stuff... dunno why it just seems to appeal to me... and the melody maker does folk really well, plenty of bite and treble which seems to work for me... really is a great guitar, im loving it more and more... the bite i get from it combined with the pickup is unreal... i'll post some overdriven clips if/when i do any decent ones.

in fact, i think the only thing this guitar/pickup CANT do... is metal/anything really heavy... it doesnt really have enough beef or tightness... but for anything else, i love it.

thanks for the kind words, and beatle- no problem mate- wouldnt want to disturb mrs.38th  :D

Im not a fan of the singing or the type of song but the tone and playing are really good. How do you even write stuff like that, just play around with chords or what? I'm really cr@p at that kinda thing

yup i just get a cool chord sequence then mess around with the picking... its pretty easy compared to writing an interesting song with powerchords and riffs... well it is for me anyway- im hopeless at completing full songs with normal chords+riffs... open chords are so much easier to play around with...

''Charles Haverland......BBC news......Katmandu''

Nice Sambo, I love the decending riff at 3.05. I agree with indy though that it could be developed into an epic rock ballad at some point for maximum air-grab effect. Keep the Wild West ending it's great.
 :D

Oh and needless to say, nice tone!

yer that katmandu bit is a classic...

thanks for the comments mate, originally the descending riff didnt really fit, but then when this geezer added the crescendo of BBC stuff it seemed to work really well....

thanks again mate, im gonna post some more clips to show off the pickup even more when i have some time...
