Mule replacement for prs

I have the mule set in a prs custom 22.
So far I really like the bridge, very balanced and can do any style of music. My only gripe is that the neck pickup on clean is a bit overpowering and too much bass/muddy compared to the bright and twangy bridge. I already set the neck very low compared to the bridge pickup.
I’m looking at either switching to lower output neck model, or replace the bridge pickup with something that sound similar but a bit more output and low end grunt.
1. How does the stormy monday neck compares to mule neck? Does it have as much bass as the mule?
2. How does the black dog or vh2 compares with mule bridge?

Did you try to set the pickup low on the low strings and higher on the upper strings?

De PRS is a set neck with a maple neck, is it? The Stormy might a bit less boomy with a more chime in this guitar. I also was thinking a humbuckersized Blue Note might do. Brightest neckpickup is the RiffRaff.

Riff Raff neck is brighter, that would be my #1 choice

Compared to bridge Mule, the VHII is louder, hotter, bassier, more percussive, dry sounding and midscooped, but still somewhat similar
Black Dog is a whole different sound, leaning towards a Holy Diver midrangy voicing, but more open and articulate, less compressed, with better dynamics

Hi. Just want to update: bought an uncovered stormy monday neck and a VH2 bridge. The stormy minday neck is exactly what I want it to be: much clearer than the mule neck yet balance very well with mule bridge. Overdriven, the sound is more scooped and very “flute-y” sounding. The stormy monday reminds me a bit of duncan 59 but the bass is not boomy, and the scoop isn’t as pronounced.

The VH2 bridge is really great for distortion but after switching back and forth I prefer the mule bridge after all. More woody and organic, less harsh high end and smoother mids.
I’m very interested in trying a coverrd stormy monday neck and a black dog/abraxas/nailbomb bridge in the coming months.
