I hate the sound of my PRS Custom 24!

Guys and girls, what Bare Knuckles shall i put in my Custom to save it from E bay!!???
I bought it for an alternative tone to my Strat which is loaded with irish tours, wanted something that had 2 hbs and a good trem that wasn't a floyd, loving the look and playability but it just sounds absolute shitee compared to my strat. Just really sounds woolly on the neck and honky on the bridge pickup, how can i get the some clarity into the neck pickup with a real open sounding bridge pickup? don't want it to be too much of a jump in output compared to my strat.

The best thing you can do......is give it to me  :D

The stock pickups are a big cr@ppy though. Which is why alot of people tend to change them.

Although you didnt say which kinda music you play I'd recommend VHII. I played some in a PRS and they sounded amazing.

I have a Mississippi Queen neck and Mule bridge, and it simply kills!

VHII are good too (I tried one in my bridge slot and it is really good too, less mids, more push and bite.)

Phil has all those in his PRS guitars; I've played em all (I think, you can never be too sure with Phil, he's tricksy sometimes); for what it's worth, I would say REBEL YELL or CRAWLER. Both are superb in the PRS!!

Your PRS will then eat your Strat for lunch.

in the band we play original riff based rock that has a Audioslave/Rage/chili peppers vibe to it, i love tom morellos sound like what he gets on Bombtrack/bulls on parade etc.... also satchs neck pickup tone where you can still riff without it turning to mush.

VHII's seem to be popular but I think an Abraxis set would sound killer in it.

They'll do more than Santana. Check out some of Steve's clips in the Players section. Really cool rock tones.

I'm thinking that you might like the Miracle Man calibrated set.  I have it in a PRS clone, and I think that it might give the sounds you are after.  The other real PRS's I have use Rebel Yell's, VHII's and Crawler/P-90.
So many pickups, so little time
