Hi, for my new RR3 that will be coming soon, how would a nailbomb in the neck and a warpig in the neck be? also for my gibson i was wondering if i should purchase a set of NBs at the same time. Any ideas on this?

well i never tried it myself... but i can recall a few threads with people very pleased with nailbombs in RR-style flying Vs. so guess i would go for a full set maybe in the RR, and possibly 'pigs all round in the gibbo.

you wouldn't use the meat knife on crusty bread but, equally, the serrated knife and straight edge knife aren't going to go through raw meat as quickly

Unless you have very specific needs, I'd rather get a calibrated set. A calibrated set means that the neck pickup will perfectly match the bridge pickup both tonally and output-wise, which means all positions will sound great with the same EQ and gain settings. And it's also cheaper than ordering two separate pickups. It's worth trusting Tim's ears, he really knows how to make a great set.

Hey ive also got an RR3 and i was a bit lost for what pickups to get.. I still am really. I think its a toss up between nailbomb and miracle man for me. but yea im goin for a calib set when i got the money. They all sound so great though. I play alot of different kinds of metal so i guess nailbomb is the way for me as its the most versatile, and if this is the case with you, i'd go nailbomb too

If you're playing metal (and I think you are with a RR3), I would say go for the Miracle Man set!
