Nailbomb in Gibson SG
« on: May 01, 2006, 04:02:16 PM »
After boring my son about the benefits of BKPs, he asked for a Nailbomb in his SG (and a Miracle Man in his Explorer) as a Christmas Pressy.

This is a recording of him using his SG/Nailbomb with his group "i fell over" - called "1830 Overture".

I know I'm a bit biased but I'm sorely tempted to put a Nailbomb in my old SG after hearing this.

P.S.  Don't be fooled by the beginning!

Haha as soon as it started I thought to myself "How are we going to apriciate BKs with this clip, the quality is cr@p!" But then it kicked it! Sounds fantastic, what amps are being used?

Thanks - Yes, the intro caught me out too. The guitar is multitracked - all Gibson SG (dropped C tuning) through a Marshall TSL 100.

Nice tone, although a bit generic emo perhaps for my taste. The song reminds me a lot of The Used... Very well recorded and professional sounding for an unsigned band!
LOVING the Mules!

Great clip and great guitar tone!  The production is really well done, and it's nice to hear real singing over detuned guitars rather than Cookie Monster vocals.

Yeah I'm not a fan of that genre but the tone was really good and the song itself sounded really professionally done  :D

Tone is really good. That a home recording? How old are his lot?
