Alnico IV Humbucker tone

Which players have that tone?  I've heard Clapton with the Bluesbreakers and I believe Kossoff.  But who else?

Peter Green with the early Fleetwood Mac stuff and early Santana also has the same tone.  Gary Moore has Peter Green's Les Paul and so he gets the tone on some of his recordings too.  

It is that really sweet/sad blues tone.  If you are into the early classic blues/rock stuff then I can really recommend it.  
I have it in a couple of pickups and will get it in my next set of humbuckers too  PDT_042

Robben Ford is another big alnico IV user.

All of the original PAFs(not the later patent number humbuckers which used Alnico V)used either Alnico II, III or IV.Generally  the Alnico II ones were liked least and the best sounding ones were Alnico III or IV. A collegue of mine has had several originals that he is fortunate to own analysed so we know this as fact. the Alnico IV we have made for is is based on original samples, all individually cast and unpolished.

The gibson LP DC Santana played would have Alnico IV magnets. In the later half of the seventies he used a Yamaha SG witch has Alnico V's.

I seriously doubt it,very few players ever liked the A II tone and it doesn't sound like A II to me.
