Tele bridge pickup
« on: June 30, 2023, 02:09:18 PM »
I recently got a Tokai Custom Shop Tele which is a really nice guitar but I find the bridge pickup to be a little lacking in punch. I really like the Irish Tour bridge pickup in my Strat. Which BK Tele pickup would be the closest to the Irish Tour?

Strictly speaking, the Flat '52 would be the closest wind and magnet combination to an Irish Tour, but it definitely has a more punchy midrange, so I would say that the slightly hotter Boss bridge would be a closer tonal equivalent. You'll definitely get a bit more output from that, due to both the stronger wind and the baseplate.
Hi all, yes, it's another Tim! I'll be here to answer any questions you want to throw at me, here or via sales@bareknucklepickups.co.uk

I haven’t played the Irish Tours.

I have used the Flat 52s and the Boss.  The 52s aren’t very punchy.  The Boss is.   A punchy, muscular Tele bridge pickup.
