There's a couple of different directions you could go there: If you want to cover a range of sounds that wide, you can either go with a powerful pickup that will nail the metal thing, but works nicely when backed right off (as a bonus, you would get some good options for split-coil sounds with a hotter pickup)- for that I would look at the Alnico Nailbomb - or, you could go for a vintage voiced pickup that's a little on the brighter side and potentially play around with the tone control to mellow things out for lighter styles - something like the Riff Raff has plenty of cut for metal tones, but is more in the output ballpark that would be appropriate for your more bluesy tones.
Personally, I would go Alnico Nailbomb and wire in some coil-split or parallel switching to give you a really versatile range of humbucker and singlecoil tones.
