An Ibanez RG1570 or RG2570 sounds like a good fit except it's a bolt on neck.  The necks are nice and slim and if you have smaller hands than me, you cannot go wrong there (my hands are large and the necks are a tad too small for me).

Also you can't go wrong with a Carvin DC127.  The necks are a bit fatter but still not a large neck by anymeans but you can have one custom built to meet your specs.  I bought a used one, all default options and had I paid the new price for it, I still paid very little for the overall quality of the guitar I was getting.  Plus it has the lowest action of any guitar I have evr played and I've talked to a few other Carvin owners who said the same thing.

The new LAG superstrats look pretty nice, and the review of their PRSalikes in TG recently was favourable. Lotta guitar for the money, and they have a lot of colour options

Dean vendetta's cheap, has a nice (thru) neck and looks cool in blue quilt, but it's hard tail only.

Now that's a sexy guitar!  I love the colour too.  Hmm.  I think I've narrowed it down to some kinda Ibanez, Jackson, or ESP.  Heh.  Yeah, not very narrow, I know!     Sorry, Nick, but the JP models don't really grab me.       But the links you gave are full of other cool guitars I might buy one of.

I've pretty much decided to spend most of my money on a Warmoth partscaster after all and then scrounge up a few hundred more for a shreddy guitar, like the ones in this thread.  I just figured that, cool as shred guitars are, I just don't play that sort of music very often.  So I'd rather shell out most of my cash for something I'm gonna use more often.

I called Tim and ordered a set of pickups for a HSS Strat configuration, even though I still don't actually have the guitar to put them in yet!

The guitar you're describing sounds just like my Warmoth superstrat, except mine's not rear-routed. If you're looking for vintage fenderish feel but with all the mod-cons (humbuckers, in tune trem, rear routed) then I'd say a Warmoth is definately for you. Bear in mind although they have a bolt-on only policy, they have a sculpted heel option for better fret access.

Well, I ended up compromising a bit on what I was exactly after, to save some cash.  Ah well, I still get a new guitar out of it, and that's gotta be a good thing!  :)

I went for one of these:

When I get it I'll be putting a Nailbomb, Slowhand, and Mother's Milk set in it.  It's gonna be my first guitar that is fully BKPed.

Is the wizard one the really wide one? I played Steves HR Giger (or whatever its called) Ibz last year at music live and I could hardly play it the strings seemed so far apart!
