Spare Whitesnake ticket for hammersmith gig on Thursday
« on: May 31, 2006, 01:19:22 AM »
As Monday's gig got rescheduled due to Mr Coverdale getting sick I have ended up with a spare ticket as my girlfriend cant go on Thursday, as she has work commitments.

I can get a refund easily via the booking office but wondered if anyone was DESPERATE to see the gig and wanted to buy it off me .
I intend to be there at 7.30 to catch the support band too (famous last words) so being available to get the tcket at that time would be a good idea...

Gimme a shout pronto

I believe that the box office may well have extra tix available too as many wont be able to make Thursay's show

The support band 'The Answer' are very good. A big 'Led Zep' influence is evident, but I think they will be a pleasant suprise, definately a cut above the support acts I have seen recently.

Went to the gig that was abandoned in Brum on Sunday, DC's bottom gave way (apparently)!

Yes - Mr Coverdale was taken ill in the stomach dept.
Hope he will be back on form for Thursday

The Answer are rather good - somewhere between Zep and The Free
I rather enjoyed them when they played with Thunder

I saw The Answer a month or so back quite by accident as my mate's band were supporting them. They weren't bad, lots of big riffs and swagger but half way through the set I found myself losing interest as they were just recycling the wannabe-Zep same idea. They even had a big slide number which could have been a xerox of In My Time Of Dying. Still, I can see how they'd be a decent support band.

Interestingly enough we stuck around for a few pints after the gig and despite the fact that The Answer all had HUGE stage presence, the tallest of them was about 3 foot nothing. So what you actually get is midget-Zep-tribute-band-in-my-pocket. And that's worth seeing them for alone ;)

haha yeah, I've been rehearsing at his since I was about 14 in my dads glam rock covers band! I 'm sure I saw you when you walked in, then I was talking to paul today about bare knuckles and the whitesnake gig last night then I realised it was you. Last night was pretty wicked, bit bassy. I was standing in front of Richie Sambora and the rest of Bon Jovi which was a bit mad!

I know exactly what you mean Jonathan! Mind you, she loves her Feline Tee-shirt and thinks your pack designs are cool and wants me to buy the whole set. Wrong gauge for me darling I said, no, dear, she said, not to use- they look cool. Bless you Mrs 38th.
