Do Covers Take The Edge Off?

I've got some eyes for the camo covers for the VHII's, but I heard that covers can cut the top end off of the tone as opposed to uncovered Pickups.

Is this true of the Covers Tim uses?

Tim will wind the pickups to compensate for the negligable difference that covers make. feel free to go camo 8)
