So Twinfan is yours a single seat version? or is it a biposto?

The reason I was teasing sercher is that I'm a bike salesman and have access to quite a lot of bikes.... I tried starting a biker thread but theres not enough bikers to keep it going.

Tom :!:  I'll thankyou for not swearing within earshot of me ever again :!:

A harley is to a sportsbike rider is what a bass guitar with one string is to Satriani.

Sometime in the mid 1940's engineeres figured out liquid cooling and overhead camshafts. Harley still havent!

Yeah but harleys look cooler  and more rock n roll ¬.¬

Ratrod, I LOVE your car! Pretty much exactly what I dream of having, soo jealous!

Nice bikes!

I had my ZZR1100 nicked back in march..long story, anyway it was 1240cc or there abouts with 165bhp, went like shitee off a chrome shovel!

I used to do enduros in the 90's on a KTM 250 (wr box). I loved it and it used to keep me fit. Had some right old dogs before that bike! I used to practise a lot at Elsworth Motocross Park in Cambridgeshire. Very fast there or Chippingham in the sand, man that was hard work!

Tom,

Two points when looking at classsic cars. Not trying to put you off or sound like a know it all here :!:

They cost Bulk money + never use one as you primary souce of transport.

But remember, ratty probably has a day job and by the looks of the photos, thats a show car.

I love old cars but they require maintainence and money. Old cars break just about everything and at random times with a good level of consistency. Why? coz their old and have nothing better to do.

Imagine buying a '54 Strat and the first time you gig it you realize the fretts need redressing. Fixed. Then its fine. Now the next time you gig it one of the solder joints on the pots goes dry in the middle of a set. Fixed. Two gigs later a couple of machine heads come loose and wont hold tune (they were perfectly fine yesterday!!!) halfway through the first set.

If this was your main gigging guitar and this gig was your main source of income you'd be getting pretty pissed off by now.

Welcome to owning a classic car :!:

The reason I say this is coz for gods sake dont be tempted to buy a classic car for your main source of transport. I think I read somewhere on another thread your getting your drivers license soon.

The Stang is a '76. The Mustang II is quita a bargain if you can find one. I only paid about 3500 Euro's for it. It's not a show car. I use it almost every day. There's a little bit of rust forming under the paint here and there and the bumpers are a bit warped. It just shows how a photo hides the minor flaws.

The overall condition is pretty good and engine wise this is about as reliable as it gets. Fuel consumption is high but not as high as you might think. (It's just a V6)

Classic cars do need a bit more TLC and repair bills can be costly.

yeah I thought classic cars would need more work and money...but they look so awesome. For now though I have to stick to the Fiat hatchback passed down from my brother.. after I get to retake my test that is

Are you mad?!   Attempting to control a bike with over a hundred horses on tap in slippery conditions is a complete nightmare! I had a 748 for a while a couple of years ago, Ducati make truly wonderful bikes but really you'd be stupid to go riding them other than in the dry. After several years with a variety of sportsbikes i'm starting to want to move on from them and have recently started getting interested in choppers, I think old age is kicking in early    :(

^Meh I'm only 17 and would prefer a "classic" looking bike or car to any sporty one, I guess its like vintage guitar stuff  8)
