Hey Neemo! I've ordered a custom guitar from a polish guitarbuilder...
There are many more guitarbuilders than Ran in Poland who are supposed to be very good... I have really put an effort to find the best ones, also those who are not as well-known as Ran.
I know a guy who is only into V-type guitars (KKV) he has ordered from Custom shops in USA before, BC Rich Custom is one I think?
He also owns 2 Ran's I think, and his last custom was from a company in Poland called Witkowski.

He said Ran is very good, better than the customs he tried from USA, but he also said now that the one he got from Witkowski was outstanding! The best guitar he ever played with superb building quality... As cheap as Ran too...
Ran has a very long delivery time due to their increasing popularity, also many polish guitarists I've talked to prefer other builders. They seem to think Ran has grown too big now, with some decrease in quality..

So check others out too, it cost nothing to send them a quote? If you like I could list the ones I've found...

Alright, I pull the trigger and shoot...

I ordered from REKGuitars, beccause they gave a very good and professional impression in their answers. I have been in contact with them throughout the building process and they are really interested in making the best guitar possible. They came come up with some VERY nice suggestions of alterations that I've accepted... They take the time to answer everything you ask, and always the same day.
They were not the cheapest, but seemed as the best in my opinion
I should get my guitar within a month...
Another member here, Jappse, has also ordered a PRS-copy from these guys...
