Splawn amps and shipping

Hey! so i just heard some clips of the Splawn Pro Mod 100 and the Quick Rod and i think that's the sound i want to go for but i need to hear more. How much do these things cost?

Also, is shipping an Amp overseas quite tricky due to the possibility of serious damage during transit? that's one thing that might put me off

Not sure of the purchase price , but you'll need to add about 5% import duty and then 17.5% VAT.
Re potential damage whilst shipping-shouldn't be a problem if they pack it properley.

Scott packs the amp like it's going to be through a war; my Quick Rod arrived in perfect shape, tho it was only shipped to the Northeast Corridor.

But yeah, I don't think you need to worry about the shipping, as ben says. I think the splawns have a variable voltage selector too (right, ben?) so you can order it from the USA with no bother. I'd say expect customs to be around 23%...

I think the QR was $1800 last time I checked, you'd need to convert that to £, then add shipping and customs...

There was somethin similar on HC, UK Ampfest where a load of guys met up in someones studio with a load of nice amps and guitars :D

Well if they can do it New Jersey then we can do it here! I doubt we would get the amount of choice as we don't have a Phil K over here...... well there is a guy called Jon' over here but he's a busy man!
