which single coil pickup is most like the seymour duncan hot rails (but of course better because its BK)

Bareknuckle don't do a single sized humbucker, but the sinner is meant to be high output. I can't say soundwise, 'cos I haven't played either of them.

as long as the pickup sounds like the hot rails it doesnt matter if its technically a "single sized humbucker", but of all the pickups i currently have (none are BK) the hot rails are my favorite so i wouldnt mind having something similar. pretty much in my SL-1 i have a duncan distortion and 2 hot rails, and of all my guitars that one sounds the best so i want to kind of recreate that sound with BKs. to my knowledge the holy diver bridge would be the closest (but better) to the distortion so i just gotta figure out the replacement for the hot rails

I would say the Trilogy Suite, with the exception that the Trilogy sounds good, unlike the Hot Rails.

Maybe Tim would do a Holy Diver HSS set and substitute Trilogies for the Irish Tours? That would be cheaper than buying them separately, but technically they're not a real set, so he may not do that...

well as i said i would be expecting a BETTER verion of the hot rails lol but yea the trilogy suite sounds like what i would want.. how would i go about requesting a HSS set thats the holy diver and trilogy suites?

are we allowed to slag off the hotrails? Cos I tried one the other day, and the bridge version sucked so much...

neck and middle ones were a bit better, but that's a bit like saying getting shot in the leg is better than getting shot in the head...

Well I have a Trilogy Suite in the same guitar that the Hot Rails used to be, so I'm speaking from experience on this one.

:lol:!! Thing about SD's is that everyone loves them...A guy I know said to me yesterday "Oh yeah, I'm gonna get a new guitar of some sort and make it really good...I'm going to put some Seymour Duncans in it, they only cost like £70 each - bargain"

I told him that BKP's were only about £20 more expensive and he said that they couldn't be good 'cause otherwise he woulda heard of them, so I'm just gonna let him have bad tone :)

EDIT: That's a nice guitar you've got there TO - is the snakeskin painted on, or some sort of material?

It'd have to be a Trilogy Suite although for an HSS I can always do the Trilogy 'uberwind' mid and neck.
The Sinner is a monster bridge coil-it'll take on any humbucker hands down yet it still sounds like a single coil...............'cos that's what it is!However I'm not so sure about putting it in the mid or neck unless you only going to be doing one thing-shredding!

Tim (if you're still here) - If I were to order a Holy Diver HSS set (as I'm planning to any day now :D) could I switch out the IT's for Slowhands? I just think they'd suit my style better
