The Ashdown Fallen Angel would quite easily fit your budget, but it there seems to be a bit of Marmite issue with this one, I know loads of people who swear by them, but then others who think it resembles a wet fart.

I am the latter  :)

Anyhow, are the 5150 combos realy in budget? I know the heads new are around 700, so im guessing your talking second hand here (even then i thoguht it would be pushing it)

I wouldn't mind a 5150 combo, what watt-age is it? Or are there different types?

In my experiance the 5150 range had quite a bad rep, I played one once and wasn't overly fussed, not the most vesatile amps but there a re worse...much worse. Like I said earlier though anything witha valve in it is going to rock your world at the mo'.
Beacause of this they tend to go for cheap on EBay. Byy using Paypal and you are well covered, if it doesn't work, if it isn't your kind of amp sell it on.

I was talking secondhand, and it probably would be pushing his budget, but he would be a getting a pretty nice amp in return.

Just read a review on Harmony Central of your amp Andy, and I had to laugh:

It is a little bit mild for pantera style crunch

There are so many things wrong with that statement - who the hell would describe Pantera as having a "crunch"?
